About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workforce Transformation Project Manager to join our team at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our workforce transformation team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our workforce strategy to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional managerial support and leadership to deliver workforce transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparent and effective consultation and involvement processes.
  • Communicate and manage stakeholders using project and programme management methodologies.
  • Establish and foster effective working relationships and networks with key stakeholders across the West Yorkshire Integrated Care System.
  • Utilise influencing and persuasion skills to establish the basis for the successful delivery of workstreams.
  • Work in partnership with others to ensure all actions have been taken to deliver projects/programmes on time.
  • Analyse available resources for workforce development and ensure that any proposals for change take full account of the resources available.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of data, national policies, and legislation to produce education and workforce development plans and reports.
  • Monitor performance against national and local targets relating to the NHS Long Term workforce plan.
  • Provide advice and prepare strategic reports, briefings, business cases, project documentation.
  • Lead individual workforce transformation projects, ensuring engagement of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Contribute to the effective management of budgets related to the agreed workstreams, programmes/projects, and associated contracts.
  • Provide management and leadership to staff who may directly report, ensuring the management of performance, conducting of appraisals, objective setting, and handling any issues in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Person Specification
  • Educational achievement to Degree or relevant professional qualifications plus further development and/or experience to masters degree equivalency.
  • Significant experience at a senior management level within the NHS, local government, or other relevant organisation.
  • Experience of significant service redesign across organisational and professional/clinical boundaries.
