Vallum Associates is seeking an experienced Networks and Grid Expert to join our team as a Senior Consultant. This role will play a key part in the strategic direction of our consulting services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in project management and technical leadership. You will be responsible for carrying out technical tasks that enable projects to be successfully completed, supervising and directing intricate consulting assignments from start to finish, and working in tandem with multidisciplinary groups to guarantee on-time and cost-effective delivery.
We are looking for someone who can keep up with changes and trends in the sector, represent the business at networking gatherings, conferences, and seminars, and guide, coach, and develop team members and Junior Consultants. The successful candidate will also encourage a cooperative and productive team atmosphere.
Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Vallum Associates as a Senior Consultant, providing expert advice and guidance to clients in the energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of our consulting services and play a leading role in project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out technical tasks that enable projects to be successfully completed.
- Supervise and direct intricate consulting assignments from start to finish.
- Work in tandem with multidisciplinary groups to guarantee on-time and cost-effective delivery.
- Keep up with changes and trends in the sector.
- Represent the business at networking gatherings, conferences, and seminars.
- Guide, coach, and develop team members and Junior Consultants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in a related field.
- Project report writing experience.
- Proven ability to model and analyze networks using commercial software programs like PSCAD, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, IPSA, and others.
- Familiarity with the transmission and distribution networks of Great Britain.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience). We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
