About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires a high level of organization, flexibility, and adaptability. As a First Contact Medical Administrator, you will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Manage patient appointments, including booking, amending, and cancelling.
  • Respond to patient requests, redirecting as necessary.
  • Ensure computerized appointment systems are up-to-date.
  • Sort and distribute post and results.
  • Complete authorized prescriptions and their distribution.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, documenting and redirecting accordingly.
  • Update computerized links system.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Good level of computer literacy.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
