We are looking for a Policy and Communications Strategist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic plans to promote XCEPT's research and influence policy decisions.

About the Programme:

XCEPT is a flagship conflict research programme funded by the UK government. Our programme aims to reduce conflict and build peace in fragile and conflict-affected areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of XCEPT's research and its relevance to policy debates.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop policy-focused uptake products.
  • Engage with policymakers and practitioners to promote XCEPT's research and influence policy decisions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in policy uptake, external communications, media engagement, or public relations.
  • Demonstrable understanding of issues related to conflict and peacebuilding and the foreign policy landscape in the UK and internationally.
Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £62,500 - £72,500 per annum. Chemonics offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
