Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial aspects of our projects are accurately managed and controlled.

  • Liaise with Pre-construction to receive full contract documentation and ensure all necessary information is obtained.
  • Procure subcontract works and negotiate fair prices to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and agree subcontract final accounts, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
  • Release retentions as appropriate in liaison with the Commercial Manager, ensuring timely payment to subcontractors.
  • Monitor all costs for the project, including preliminaries, design fees, utility fees, subcontract, and materials, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist the Contract Managers in preparing Preliminary Budgets for Director approval and targeting, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Produce detailed quarterly forecasts and cashflows to inform project decisions.
  • Report on a monthly basis on cost value reconciliation, discussing the extent of provisions with Managing Surveyors to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Prepare applications for payment in liaison with the Client's Representative, including a projected final account sum to ensure timely payment.
  • Ensure interim certificates are received in accordance with the terms of the contract and monitor any non-receipt of payment from the Client.
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and project goals are achieved.
  • Keep the Site Team informed of the financial position of the projects, ensuring transparency and accurate financial reporting.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in construction cost management and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Experience in JCT Forms of Contracts, knowledge of NEC and PPC200 contracts.
  • Experience working in partnering frameworks, with a strong understanding of collaborative working practices.
