We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our Building Structures team in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects, working closely with clients and external consultants, and performing complex technical work activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a thorough knowledge of design codes and standards used in the UK. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform and review structural engineering design calculations to meet client specifications.
  2. Liaise with clients, architects, and other third parties to ensure project delivery.
  3. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  4. Supervise and delegate project workload to junior team members.
  5. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building structure analysis and design.
  • Strong knowledge of design software, including TEDDS and Concrete Centre Spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
  • Experience at a senior engineer level.
  • Mentoring graduates and engineers.
