About the Role

The Registrar is a key member of the Archive & Supporting Collections team at the Tank Museum, responsible for the administration and processing of records, documentation, and procedures related to acquisitions, disposals, and loans of the museum's collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of the museum's collections, including acquisitions, disposals, and loans.
  • Process and coordinate the movement of collections items, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the administration of collections, ensuring compliance with museum policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Archive & Supporting Collections team to ensure seamless integration of collections management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of collections management principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to museum policies and regulations.
