Vickerstock is looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our QHSE department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations and maintains a safe and healthy work environment.

About the Role

You will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager and be responsible for providing technical guidance and support on QHSE matters. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing safety procedures, and coordinating training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support on QHSE matters, including risk assessments and safety procedures
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and protocols across the organisation
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs on QHSE policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with QHSE standards
  • Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, recommending corrective actions as necessary
Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of QHSE regulations and standards, including ISO 9001,14001, and 45001
  • Proven experience in QHSE management, including risk assessment and safety procedure development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze complex information and identify areas for improvement
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to recommend and implement effective solutions
Estimated Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
