Job Summary

GE Aviation's Power Conversion business is seeking a skilled Sales Application Engineer to join our Industrial Tendering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and managing technical offerings for the Industrial & Energy Infrastructure new equipment segment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Interpret customer requirements with accuracy, quality, and timeliness to meet customer needs and business goals.
  2. Work with engineering to define the best technical design propositions.
  3. Complete technical risk review processes and project schedules.
  4. Create internal and external supplier specifications.
  5. Assist with cost optimization to help secure competitive pricing.
  6. Provide technical support through all stages of the bid and risk process.
  7. Produce technical specification documents, including system design and electrical design diagrams.
  8. Support sales managers in customer meetings and negotiations.
  9. Participate in the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) handover process.
  10. Understand account strategy and competitive situation.
  11. Support service sales team in shaping long-term commercial offerings.
  12. Create and present technical information to customers.
  13. Develop negotiation position with sales account manager and commercial team.
  14. Travel to customer meetings domestically and overseas.

Requirements

  1. Good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering for producing technical sales tenders.
  2. Understanding of variable frequency converters and rotating machines.
  3. Experience in capturing and interpreting customer requirements.
  4. Flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to present technical information effectively.
  7. Thorough and proactive approach to work.
  8. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
  9. Valid passport for travel.
