Project Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
Wates Living Space, a leading provider of planned and responsive maintenance services in the social housing sector, is seeking a skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join their Planned team in the Warwick area.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pre- and post-contract strategies, commercial functions, and contract reporting. Your expertise will be essential in working closely with a social housing partner on a high-rise refurbishment project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to project commercial strategies and take ownership of subcontract packages
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and price up scoping documents with the schedule of rates as agreed with the client
- Work with the commercial and operations teams to procure works packages in a timely manner, including producing a procurement programme
- Make informed decisions and understand the importance of making profit and maximising opportunities
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified and experienced surveyor with a good work ethic and confident communication skills. Ideally, you will have experience within social housing or working within a tier 1 contractor. Your ability to form and develop relationships with stakeholders will be essential.
