Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Product Analyst to join our Global Equity Indices Product Management team at S&P Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and executing product development strategy, focusing on sustainable investing trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support new product initiatives and strategic sales efforts
  2. Support Global Equity Indices through analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials (blogs, white papers, videos)
  3. Collaborate with the Research and Design team on index design
  4. Plan and coordinate tasks for the smooth and timely launch of new indices
  5. Work closely with global product management team members and support global initiatives
  6. Take direction from senior product management leadership and collaborate closely on projects with other product managers within the global equity indices team

Requirements:

  1. Undergraduate degree required, master's degree in a relevant field or progress towards a CFA Charterholder status a plus
  2. 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  3. Familiarity with sustainable financial topics and industry best practices is highly desirable
  4. Self-driven with strong research and innovation skills
  5. Strong multi-tasking capabilities is a must for this dynamic role that touches on every aspect of the index life-cycle
  6. Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, comfortable working with large datasets
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; candidate will eventually deliver high quality presentations both internally to management and externally to clients
  8. The position requires interacting with sophisticated clients and the candidate should demonstrate ability to ask questions and advise toward client solutions
  9. Programming skills (Python, R, SQL, VBA, others) are desirable
  10. Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Morningstar, Eikon, etc. candidate should be very comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
