Support Worker Job Description

Elite Care Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
  • Support Service Users with all aspects of their day-to-day living, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
  • Have a high level of responsibility and duty of care required - most of the employee's work will be alone with the Service User/s in their home.
  • Have compassion, good communication skills, and a calm and caring manner essential for this important role.
  • Ensure laid out Care Plans and other information on caring and supporting of Service Users are followed.
  • Responsible for informing the Registered Manager of any changes in the needs of Service Users.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in social care.
  • Care certificate or working towards completing one.
  • Proficient written skills to maintain all Care Plans/care records.
  • Communication skills enabling you to build rapport with people through establishing personal connections and showing interest in the service users' lives.
  • Critical thinking skills and be able to adapt and address situations quickly.
  • Proactive and able to plan, develop, implement, and assess.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
