The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is a government agency responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of veterinary medicines in the UK.

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join our team.

As a Pharmacovigilance Specialist, you will play a critical role in monitoring reports of suspected adverse events and lack of efficacy following use of veterinary medicinal products. This will involve working closely with regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders to ensure that these products remain safe for animal and public health.

This role requires a strong understanding of factors affecting the safety of medicines, including experience in medicinal product development or work in regulatory affairs for a pharmaceutical company or industry closely related.

You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

A Degree as a Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Nursing qualification, or a Scientific Degree is required for this post.

MRCVS for Vet Surgeons and Vet Nurses is also a requirement.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
