Financial Crime Compliance Specialist

Join a leading Residential Mortgages, BTL and Bridging Finance provider

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement a Financial Crime Compliance strategy, working closely with the Compliance Director to evolve the firm's approach to Financial Crime Risk Management as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Financial Crime Compliance strategy in conjunction with the Compliance Director
  • Assess and benchmark the effectiveness of the AML and Fraud controls against regulations, legislation and industry best practices
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update company policies accordingly
  • Build a CDD approach into the Operations team
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify potential Financial Crime threats
  • Ensure effective Financial Crime Risk monitoring and reporting

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in a senior Financial Crime role within the long-term lending arena
  • Broad AML / CTF experience including Source of Funds, Source of Wealth, Sanctions, PEPs, SARs reporting, etc.
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant regulations
  • Previous experience managing a small team
  • Ability to operate in a hands-on capacity
