Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team at McCue Corporation in Milton Keynes. This position plays a key role in the Finance Team by supporting the Group Finance Director with month end close activities and reporting while also supporting the rest of the team in the day-to-day tasks for both UK and European business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Closing of Month End Financial Accounts by Day 3, post period end close.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts (Balance sheet reconciliations).
  • Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Compile all the required information and documentation for the External Tax Consultants to meet Statutory requirements in our current operating countries and to deliver this to the agreed timetable to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support and backfill for the wider Finance team in the day-to-day tasks such as posting purchase/sales invoices, completing banking duties and managing the shared inboxes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a financial accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with flexible work arrangements and work-life balance.
