About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our Front of House Team in the role of Night Porter at Dakota Edinburgh. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for setting up our meetings and events spaces for conferences and private dinners, carrying out detailing to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space in accordance with their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up meetings and events spaces for conferences and private dinners
  • Carry out detailing to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space
  • Deep clean public areas of the hotel, including vacuum cleaning, dusting, and polishing
  • Work closely alongside other departments to ensure excellent communication and assist as required
  • Be assigned the role of Fire Warden in the event of an emergency evacuation and be trained as a fire evacuation chair user
  • Follow health and safety procedures closely at all times, particularly pertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling
