About the Role: We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Medical Director, you will play a vital leadership role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients and contributing to service development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Manage a Multidisciplinary Team: You will lead and manage a team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Provide High-Quality Psychiatric Care: You will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive and person-centered care.
• Develop Service Improvement Initiatives: You will develop and implement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care within the trust.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
• Contribute to Policy Development: You will contribute to the development of policies and procedures that shape the trust's approach to psychiatric care.

Requirements:

• GMC Specialist Registration: You must be eligible for registration on the GMC Specialist Register.
• General Inpatient Psychiatry Experience: You should have experience in General Inpatient Psychiatry, with a strong understanding of its complexities.
• Leadership and Management Skills: You should possess excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
