Azure Enterprise Cloud Support Specialist

Azure Support Engineer required to manage a large secure Azure enterprise estate instances and solve cloud engineering tasks.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating ownership of incident tracking, triage, mitigation, and resolution in a customer support model.
- Initiating process changes designed to improve efficiency and partnering with peers and stakeholders to enhance tools, processes, and customer support.
- Managing the initial response and platform issues, triaging for Alerts, Incidents, and Service Requests received.
- Working on a shift pattern to cover support and being on call for customer operations by engineers with specific knowledge about customer workloads.
- Diagnosing, investigating, and troubleshooting issues on customer workloads hosted in Azure and collaborating with various internal and external teams across Microsoft and the client.
- Writing, testing, debugging, and executing Azure PowerShell scripts, Runbooks, Policies, etc., to enable Azure Managed Experience for select customers.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, operational documents, and process documents.
- Contributing to Azure Managed Experience and solutions across plan, design, develop, and maintain stages.
- Owning and driving customer issues to resolution, identifying patterns from customer issues, and driving proactive problem management activities to reduce repeated customer incidents.
- Generating required reporting, documentation for measuring the initiative, and contributing to stakeholder communications by providing relevant content.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Excellent analytical and platform troubleshooting skills in Azure.
- Must have been in the UK for 5 years to undertake SC Level Security Clearance.
- Strong Azure/cloud experience, including enterprise scale Azure managed services.
- Experience of Azure Platform including: Compute, Storage, Networking, Workloads.
- Azure management, operations, and troubleshooting experience using: Azure Management Technologies (Azure Monitor, Monitoring Agents, KQL, ARM templates, Azure Policies, IaC and deployment models).
- IaC experience highly desirable (Azure DevOps, ARM etc.).
- Strong fault analysis/determination and problem solving skills.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, with IIS or SQL.
- Working experience in high availability environment.
- ITIL processes, Incident management, SLA, Proactive & Reactive incident management, Change execution / Change Management, Problem & Performance Management.
- Ideally you have achieved or be working towards some of the following certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500 or similar AZ previous certifications/training courses.
This role offers a competitive salary range of £40-50k per annum, plus bonus and great benefits. You will also have opportunities for career development and training plans.
