Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Power Electronics Centre of Excellence (CoE) team in the UK. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled engineer with leadership qualities, capable of inspiring a cross-functional team and building strong international connections.

About the Role: As an Engineering Manager at Matchtech, you will be responsible for leading a team of PEMD engineers and projects to achieve goals. You will monitor team and project performance, fostering a performance-based culture, and mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct a team of PEMD engineers and projects to achieve goals.
  • Monitor team and project performance, fostering a performance-based culture.
  • Mentor and coach team members, enhancing technical capabilities.
  • Support the Director in strategy development and execution.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and project plans.
  • Build relationships with engineering and business leaders to drive technology adoption and design methodologies.


Requirements: To be successful as an Engineering Manager at Matchtech, you will need:

Key Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics design and development.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership and technical skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to learn new skills and knowledge.


Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
