We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Sizewell C project, a historic undertaking that will bring about transformative impact to our people, communities, and societies across the globe. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
The Project
Our Sizewell C project is a megaproject that will shape the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. We're looking for a leader who can drive project development, foster growth, and increase networks. As a key stakeholder, you'll be responsible for promoting quality and Service Excellence in all conversations and programme interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Directing the coordination and delivery of a sub-programme (or smaller programme) and overseeing the implementation of project strategies, providing direction and monitoring delivery in alignment with overall vision and objectives.
- Responsible for improving performance from the bid baseline by optimizing resources and monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating activities, systems, and methodologies.
- Ensuring the programme is operating an effective risk management strategy with appropriate management actions and risk treatments established.
- Networking and utilising the full depth and knowledge of the Mace group and centres of excellence to support the programme delivery, actively promoting knowledge share with others.
- Ensuring operations are commercially viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives (including debt collection) and meeting organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
- Building and maintaining internal and external relationships (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies, and other stakeholders) to foster growth and increase networks, developing internal and external communication.
- Adapting the full benefits of construction to production (C2P), net zero carbon, and digital & data innovation.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
