  • Manage freight globally and ensure accurate documentation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and service
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best deals
  • Meet KPIs related to cost, spend, stock valuation, carriage, product quality, and supplier service
  • Contribute to strategic decisions using analytical skills
  • Identify cost and efficiency savings and implement them
  • Manage inventory to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Collaborate with warehouse, finance, marketing, and sales departments
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments in line with ISO9001

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer looking for the next step in their career
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • CIPS qualification
  • Strong organisational and inventory management abilities
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • IT literacy, with Sage 200 experience preferred
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Good understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement

What We Offer:

  • Base salary £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
  • 6 monthly performance bonus and annual Company bonus
