Job Description:

GCS Ltd is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Research Engineer to contribute to our research and development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software tools and frameworks for efficient enzyme design and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software tools and frameworks for enzyme design and analysis.
  • Work closely with research scientists to transform algorithms and generative models into robust software solutions.
  • Contribute to developing AI/ML models for protein structure and enzyme function prediction.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines for processing large-scale biological datasets.
  • Collaborate with the platform team to deploy and scale computational tools in cloud environments.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software engineering, AI/ML, and scientific computing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, or applied mathematics, as well as advanced knowledge of one or more fields such as structural bioinformatics, cheminformatics, or molecular dynamics.

The successful candidate will possess excellent Python skills, including expertise in libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Polars, and a proven track record of implementing complex computational workflows. Additionally, they should be familiar with cloud computing platforms, containerisation technologies, and scalable workflow orchestration tools.

Nice to Have:

Experience with machine learning frameworks, high-performance computing environments, and parallel processing is a plus. Contributions to open-source scientific software projects are also desirable.

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year.
