**About the Role**
Trial Balance Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Finance to join their team. As a result of sustained and organic growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to take on a key leadership role in a dynamic and rapidly growing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end finance function, working closely with the Managing Director and other stakeholders to drive business growth and success. This is a highly varied role with a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- **Leading Financial Operations**: Taking a lead role in ensuring efficient financial operations across the business, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assisting in the preparation of detailed monthly management reports and providing commentary on areas of interest.
- **Financial Analysis**: Highlighting areas for improved financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement.
- **Risk Management**: Identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
- **Team Management**: Working closely with the Managing Director to lead and develop a small team of finance professionals.
- **Statutory Accounting**: Assisting with statutory accounting procedures, including VAT reporting and company payroll administration.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or have equivalent experience, with a strong track record of success in a similar role. They will be a forward-thinking, personable, and dynamic individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in managing a small team and using cloud-based accounting platforms would be an advantage.
