Job Purpose

As a Lead Cloud Architect, you'll play a key role in helping us realise our Cloud Transformation strategy. You'll work with a highly skilled and motivated team with a growth mindset, driving the development and maintenance of our cloud architecture and designs.

You'll be responsible for cloud technology roadmaps, shaping and pressure testing our cloud strategy, and providing technical expertise to our infrastructure and application teams. Your focus will be on creating end-to-end cloud architecture solutions in a complex, large-scale landscape, across multiple domains.

Key Accountabilities
  • Technical Design Authority: Lead the design of GCP or AWS foundational services/landing zones, covering cloud connectivity, governance, security, cloud economics, and enterprise IT integration.
  • Cloud consultancy: Provide expert services to application owners and markets, creating end-to-end solution architectures where applicable.
  • Cloud technology principles: Define principles, standards, guidelines, and reference models for cloud adoption across the business.
  • Cloud technology roadmaps: Contribute to our cloud technology roadmaps and shape our cloud strategy.
  • Business case development: Support the development of business cases for cloud migration and adoption initiatives.
  • Emerging technologies: Work with LG Ventures to assess emerging technologies and companies, and conduct due diligence.
  • Culture and mentoring: Help build a collaborative and transparent culture, while mentoring junior team members.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience: Lead Cloud Architect experience in a large, complex enterprise within a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Cloud architecture: Experience in cloud architecture and technologies, including governance pillars, core cloud services.
  • Technical leadership: Proven technical leadership capabilities, with a coaching and collaborative style of working.
  • Well-Architected reviews: Ability to conduct Well-Architected reviews for workload owners.
  • Integration: Experience integrating enterprise/on-premise platforms with public cloud.
  • Cloud transformation: Experience in applying architecture and technology skills to cloud transformation and migration projects.
  • Cloud Native: Experience with Cloud Native, DevOps patterns, and tooling.
