Personal Support Specialist

Role Overview:
As an Adult Care Worker at The Troc, you will play a vital role in upholding our organization's commitment to quality care. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver person-centered care plans, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Your duties will include assisting with daily living tasks, such as grooming and dressing, as well as providing emotional support and companionship during meals and activities.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing and toileting.
- Providing emotional support and companionship during meals and activities.
- Helping residents with mobility issues and other physical disabilities.
- Supporting residents who are dying and require end-of-life care.
- Maintaining accurate records of resident interactions and care activities.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, be physically able to perform the demands of the job, and have a basic understanding of infection control procedures. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating initiative in your daily tasks. A background in healthcare or social care is desirable, but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development. As an employee of The Troc, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality care services to our residents.
