Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Technician to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular diagnostics team, you will be responsible for performing and analyzing 24-48 hour holter tests, using advanced equipment to identify cardiac rhythms and provide detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze holter monitor data to identify cardiac rhythms and provide accurate reports
  • Prepare and monitor cardiac stress tests, ensuring proper skin prep and lead placement
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and responding to their needs
  • Maintain a safe environment by following proper equipment usage and body mechanics
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to identify areas for process improvement

Requirements

  • Vocational or technical training in EKG or a related healthcare discipline
  • Coursework in advanced EKG identification and arrhythmia analysis (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience as an EKG Technician or Monitor Technician (preferred)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house training

Physical Demands

  • Light work, with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. and frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs.
