About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for our industrial turbochargers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects within Manufacturing, taking responsibility for delivery, project planning, execution, and cost.
  • Define manufacturing processes for turbocharger components and assemblies.
  • Creation and maintenance of supporting documentation to include Manufacturing Routings, Layouts, and Instructions.
  • NC programming of multi-axis Turning, Milling, Grinding, and EDM machines.
  • Programming of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS.
  • Define, perform, and implement investigations into non-conformance through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Interface with supporting departments such as Design, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers.
Requirements
  • Qualified to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with relevant training as a Manufacturing Technician/Engineer.
  • Experience in a modern manufacturing facility with a good understanding of modern machining techniques, plus problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Computer/software literate.
