About the Role


As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping SMEs achieve their growth ambitions. We are seeking an experienced underwriter with strong interpersonal skills to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assessment of transactions within your lending mandate or for recommendation to a higher mandate holder where required.
  • Build strong relationships with introductory sources to help them and SME Lending support UK SMEs.
  • Work closely with introducers to structure proposals that work for both customers and SME Lending.
  • Communicate professionally with brokers and customers verbally and face-to-face.
  • Produce high-quality credit submissions for overview by higher mandate holders.


Requirements

  • Strong commercial lending experience in both secured and unsecured lending.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of funding a wide range of assets and lending structures.
  • Ability to work in a direct and broker origination model to provide primary support to our brokers as well as SME Lending's internal and external sales teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
