Nursery Teacher Job Description

Noddy's Nursery School Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher to join our team. As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the high standards and philosophy of Noddy's in front of children, parents, and staff members.
  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, using relevant paperwork to plan, observe, track, and move children forward in their development.
  • Be responsible for a key group of children, keeping accurate records of their developments and achievements.
  • Write termly learning journeys for each child in your key group.
  • Be aware of each child's individual care needs, including medical information, sleeping, and dietary needs.
  • Record children's sleep times, eating habits, and bottle-feeds, and undertake weekly observations.
  • Prepare and complete activities in the classroom and garden to suit each child's stage of development.
  • Ensure children's safety and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
  • Monitor children who are unwell, following our sickness and temperature policies, and notify management so arrangements can be made with parents if needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher.
  • Ability to implement the high standards and philosophy of Noddy's.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
