We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Technical Manager to join our team at The Compleat Food Group. As a key member of our technical function, you will be responsible for driving forward product safety and quality across our Poole Bakery site.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to lead the technical function and champion process improvements, ensuring compliance with specifications and legislation. You will work closely with our New Product Development, Technical, and Hygiene teams to establish and maintain excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement food safety and quality standards across the factory
- Lead process improvement projects to drive continuous business improvement
- Ensure manufacturing procedures and processes are appropriately controlled
- Provide direction and support to the Hygiene team to achieve relevant standards
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental training initiatives
- Accurately manage costs using budget controls
- Document HACCP and Integrity plans and ensure teams are informed
- University degree in Food Science or Technology, or other related biological science degree
- Advanced Food Hygiene 4, or equivalent, and Level 4 HACCP certification
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FCMG) sector
- Extensive knowledge of factory processes
- Proficiency in communication, fluency in English (oral and written) is essential
