Job Title: Test Development Engineer

At Raytheon UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Test Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, and validation of board level, sub-system, and system level test equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop functional test equipment
  • Lead and guide junior engineers in the design and quality of test equipment
  • Document design specifications and implementation details, and participate in design reviews
  • Collaborate with other team members to agree system designs, interfaces, and protocols
  • Develop test hardware, test software, and procedures to prove the correct operation of hardware
  • Provide support to manufacturing and answer product queries and resolve technical issues
  • Monitor and report progress of test development to immediate supervisor and development team
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related subject
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
  • Ability to understand comprehensive technical design documentation
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Good communicator
Desirable Skills:
  • Test software design experience
  • Test development experience in industry
  • Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools
  • Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI
  • Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation
