Job Opportunity in Quality Assurance

First Achieve Ltd, a leading international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in the Glasgow region. The company is dedicated to aerospace, defence, and petrochemical industries worldwide.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of £17.90, subject to experience, along with a nightshift uplift of 33%. The role also includes benefits such as a 39-hour workweek, company pension scheme, 33 days holiday entitlement, and employee assistance programme.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of the business by leading and delivering product introduction and continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, have a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate inspection records
  • Processing non-conforming products
  • Checking and calibrating measuring equipment
  • Managing returns and first inspection methods
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S policy and 6S activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Awareness of CMM setting, interpretation, and reporting
  • Calibration of equipment and manual handling observances
  • Computer literacy and HSE/AS9100 awareness
  • Desirable experience in PC-DMIS and CMM
