We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Business Partner to join our team in south west Wales.

Main Responsibilities

You will play a key role in providing high-quality strategic financial management and customer-focused financial support for our Corporate directorates. Your main duties will include delivering robust financial monitoring, forecasting, and planning.

As a Financial Business Partner, you will have the ability to interpret and explain financial concepts and information to non-financial managers. Excellent communication and IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, are essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Candidate must be a CCAB passed finalist or part-qualified accountant actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
  • In-depth professional knowledge of finance disciplines, including workforce and service planning, is required.

We expect the ideal candidate to demonstrate initiative and a desire to be part of a finance team that aims for innovation and excellence. Agile working practices will be employed, with a 50:50 split between office and home working, subject to change and service demand.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • A professional accountancy qualification would be advantageous.
  • The ability to probe and access networks for information to improve knowledge and understanding is desirable.
  • Knowledge of continuous professional development is essential.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business cases is desirable.
  • Demonstrable track record of career advancement and achievement is essential.
  • Commercially astute and able to manage day-to-day business challenges while maintaining long-term strategic goals is necessary.
  • Significant experience in financial risk management is desirable.
