Job Overview
Winemark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our Hillsborough store to success. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relations and Sales - Provide exceptional customer service, identify sales opportunities, and ensure staff meet customer service standards.
- Commercial and Business Acumen - Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Leadership and Team Management - Lead and motivate a team of Sales Advisors, ensure staff are trained and developed, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Legislation and Compliance - Ensure the store operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety, licensing, and trading standards.
- Organisation and Planning - Plan and prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines to optimize store performance.
- Quality and Excellence - Maintain high standards of store appearance, merchandising, and customer service, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Staff Training and Development - Identify training needs, deliver training programs, and provide regular feedback to staff.
- Effective Administration - Manage cash, stock, payroll, and marketing administration, and maintain accurate records.
- Problem Solving - Anticipate and resolve problems, and propose solutions to improve store performance.
Requirements
- Essential - Good standard of education, 1 year previous supervisory or management experience in a retail or customer-focused environment, and a valid driving license.
- Desirable - WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, and 1 year previous supervisory or management experience in a retail or customer-focused environment.
