GLG Vets: Experienced Veterinary Nurse Wanted

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Canterbury, working as part of our ophthalmology department. This is a part-time position with set working days on Mondays and Fridays, offering a great work-life balance while supporting both general first opinion services and specialist ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the veterinary team with consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures in ophthalmology.
  • Provide nursing support for patients undergoing ophthalmic treatments and procedures.
  • Administer medication, perform blood sampling, wound care, and patient monitoring tasks.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations in the ophthalmology department.
  • Engage with pet owners, providing advice and guidance on pet care and treatment options.
  • Keep detailed patient records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a veterinary practice with a background in ophthalmology or similar specialty.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
