Job Summary

The GP Rating is a key member of our maritime operations team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of our vessels. As a GP Rating, you will provide critical support to our Master and crew, contributing to the success of our marine projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Security: Act as a lookout, ensuring compliance with MCA Regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all vessel areas are completed to a high standard.
  • Engineering Support: Assist engineering staff as required, ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete and report on planned maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Watchkeeping and Anchoring: Carry out duties as watchman, including anchoring and mooring operations.
  • Galley Duties: Perform galley duties as directed by the Master, ensuring the well-being of our crew.
  • Deck Equipment Operations: Be competent in the use of all deck equipment, including cranes, RIBs, and anchor windlasses.
  • Coxswain and RIB Operations: Act as Coxswain of the RIB as directed, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Paperwork and Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: ENG1, Basic Sea Survival, Fire Fighting.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Vessels are run in line with Company, Client, and regulatory requirements; safety awareness and compliance; ability to maintain safety-related KPIs; ability to maintain customer satisfaction; RYA Powerboat Level 2; Mandatory NINA training.
  • Other Essential Requirements: 3 years UK residency; full driving license; current passport; ability to work on a liveaboard vessel on a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation.
