We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Referral and Assessment Children's Team within the Social Care industry in Sutton Council.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct Initial Assessments and Core Assessments to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Lead Section 47 Investigations to identify and address potential risks to children.
- Contribute to the duty rota to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Initiate care proceedings when necessary to protect the welfare of children.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to support families and children in need.
- Prepare and present Initial Child Protection Reports and Conference Reports to ensure effective decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and a Degree-level education. You will also require an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy, and initiatives, as well as experience working with Children and Families. Additionally, you must have the Eligibility to Work in the UK and previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding or Child Protection Team.
