As an Onshore Inspection Assistant Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the coordination, planning, and day-to-day delivery of Inspection services personnel and equipment on the TORUS CNRI contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to both Bilfinger and Client personnel, including Project Engineers, Recruitment, Wages, Commercial, HSEQ, T&C, and HR.
  • Support the update of operational Rotas.
  • Manage activities of sub-contractors/3rd Parties for work required.
  • Attend meetings to maintain key communications with Offshore Teams and Client, including Performance meetings, HSE meetings, and general communication.
  • Assist Inspection Project Manager, Project Planner, and Engineer when required.
  • Provide cover for Project Planner and Project Engineer.
  • Assist with the collation and delivery of planning data, including update of planning software.
  • Plant/Material/Equipment ordering and monitoring, including maintaining material trackers, monitoring outward and inward shipping of equipment, write-offs, and transfers.
  • Plant Maintenance – reviewing plant reports to ensure alignment with actual information offshore.
  • Communication with stores and shipping departments to ensure timely issuing of equipment.
  • Communicate progress, operational difficulties, and commercial implications to the client.
  • Ensure invoicing data is correct for labor and plant and checked prior to submission to client.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Ensure equipment checks, inspection reports, HSE reports, and all relevant documents are received from Offshore in a timely manner.
  • Approve and maintain Offshore holiday requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in working in an Oil and Gas offshore environment.
  • 2 years' experience related to in-service inspection is desirable.
  • A working knowledge of British, European, and International Standards relative to Safety, Environment, and Quality.
  • Proficient understanding of SAP or similar.
  • Industry Company and Client-specific training/safety critical requirements as per Recruitment Procedure BMS-HR-REC-VRO-V01.
  • OPITO and MIST Offshore Safety Training is desirable.
