Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the West Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients.

About the Role:

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with psychiatric conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Your duties will include making decisions regarding referrals, ensuring treatment is in accordance with established standards, and providing leadership to the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provision of comprehensive psychiatric care through evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
  2. Making decisions regarding referrals to the team.
  3. Ensuring treatment is in accordance with acceptable and established standards.
  4. Providing psychiatrist leadership to the multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Liaising with other agencies as necessary.
  6. Acting as Section 12(2) approved doctor for Mental Health Act Assessments.
  7. Providing clinical supervision, training, and teaching to other clinicians, trainees, and students.
  8. Identifying and advocating for needed resources.
  9. Participating in administrative and management duties.
  10. Participating in clinical governance and medical advisory committees.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a GMC registered doctor with relevant experience in psychiatry. Our Client is happy to issue Certificates of Sponsorship to suitably qualified overseas doctors.
