Job Description

This exciting opportunity is part of the BBC's Early Careers programme, aimed at growing the best creative technologists for broadcasting. As a System and Broadcast Technology Specialist, you will work with our central Technology Operations or Systems teams to provide broadcast, distribution and production technology support to our primary broadcast facilities.

You will be trained and developed to support our TV & Radio studios and infrastructure and our master control rooms. This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed term contract which means your contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship only.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for media technology and are flexible and adaptable to out-of-hours working. To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract.
  • Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
  • Have Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or equivalent qualification.
