Job Summary:
Brockenhurst College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Media Lecturer to join their team. As a Media Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in media-related courses, developing and delivering curriculum content, and contributing to the growth and development of the college's media programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach media-related courses to students, including media production, theory, and criticism.
- Develop and deliver curriculum content, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the college's media programs, including curriculum design, program development, and faculty training.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in media education.
- Contribute to the college's marketing and recruitment efforts, including representing the college at industry events and conferences.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in media studies, education, or a related field.
- Teaching experience in media-related courses, preferably at the post-secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of media theory, history, and criticism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
