About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly efficient Transport Planner to join our growing team at our new operation in the Manor Royal Business District.

The successful candidate will work closely with drivers, preparing routes for the following day, ensuring all vehicles are the correct size for the routes and are not overloaded. They will also utilise all vehicles and relief drivers where necessary to ensure timely customer deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring seamless delivery of goods to customers
  • Prepare accurate and efficient routes for drivers, taking into account vehicle capacity and traffic conditions
  • Monitor memos from the Customer Service team for special deliveries and plan them accordingly
  • Collaborate with the Transport Manager to ensure optimal use of resources and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, maintaining a high level of office efficiency
  • Support the team in the loading area or make deliveries as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics or transport planning
  • CPC qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and company-specific software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 per year, reflecting the importance we place on attracting and retaining top talent.
