Job Description

As a Cook, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Cook Manager with food preparation, cooking, and baking
  • Cooking meals for residents
  • Preparing vegetables and snacks
  • Serving food in a timely and efficient manner
  • Cleaning and tidying work areas in the kitchen
  • Washing dishes and appliances
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Experience of catering outside a domestic setting
  • Ability to work as part of a caring team and treat residents with dignity and respect
  • An even temperament and patience when dealing with residents and colleagues
