We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Risk and Assurance Director to join our team at Veolia. As a senior leader, you will be accountable for the Risk and Assurance areas of activity within our Commercial and Treatment business functions.

These areas include Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Security, Risk, and Insurance. You will need to demonstrate credibility as a trusted leader, capable of negotiating and influencing at the most senior levels of a business.

You will be responsible for designing, creating, implementing, and measuring strategies to tackle key problem areas and review trends to develop solutions using an insights-led approach.

You will promote a positive and proactive safety culture within your operational business areas, ensuring a proactive approach, providing performance analysis, assurance, and solutions to the respective Senior Leadership Teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and opportunities
  • Provide assurance and advisory services to senior leadership teams on risk and compliance matters
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop solutions to improve business performance
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their risk management and assurance skills
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma and Lead Auditor certification
  • Level 7 Leadership and Management qualification (or equivalent)
  • Quality Diploma and IEMA Environmental Management certification (desirable)
  • Proven track record of designing, creating, implementing, and measuring strategies to tackle key problem areas and review trends to develop solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
