We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Board of Trustees, playing a key role in shaping the future of Strathclyde Students' Union.
About Us
Strathclyde Students' Union is a vibrant and dynamic organisation, dedicated to supporting the academic and personal development of students at the University of Strathclyde. With a rich history dating back to 1964, we have a strong track record of innovation and excellence, consistently ranking as the number one Student Union in Scotland.
The Role
As a Board Trustee, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation, ensuring that we remain financially sustainable and deliver against our core purpose of connecting students. You will work closely with our new Chief Executive to develop our new strategic plan, which will shape the next five years of growth and development for the Union.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation
- Work with the Chief Executive to develop the new strategic plan
- Contribute to the development of governance, risk, and compliance policies
Requirements
We are looking for individuals with experience in governance, risk, or compliance, who share our passion for supporting and empowering students. We particularly welcome applications from women, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities, and those with diverse sexualities or marginalised gender identities.
