Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Julia's House Dorset/Wiltshire Children's Hospices. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide exceptional care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families.

Main Responsibilities

As a Team Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care to meet individual client needs.
  • Managing a team of Carers and providing day-to-day supervision and teaching.
  • Participating in an on-call rota system to provide telephone support for care staff and families.
  • Liaising with the Julias House Care Team and statutory and voluntary agencies involved in client care.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Any of the following qualifications: RSCN/RN (Child Branch) diploma or degree, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, RGN, RN Adult Safeguarding Awareness Level 3.
  • Two years of relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 or above.
  • Experience of caring for and working alongside families in their own environment.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently or with minimal supervision.
