About the Role

You will be working within our highly personable, supportive and experienced audit team, completing audit assignments for a variety of clients, from large groups to smaller owner-managed businesses.

This dynamic role offers a varied and challenging development journey where you will:

  • Be part of a team undertaking audits of clients' financial statements and similar assurance work, progressing from assisting on elements of the audit to leading your own assignments
  • Undertake your ACA studies, benefiting from structured training provided by external tutors
  • Receive on-the-job training alongside your ACA syllabus of learning, spending around 10 weeks a year studying towards the ACA
  • Spend time in the office finishing off audit fieldwork, compiling clients' accounts, preparing for the next audit or undertaking ad hoc tasks
  • Attend clients stocktakes, observing their stocktaking procedures and performing test counts
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have previously achieved 112 UCAS points (equivalent to 280 UCAS points under pre-2017 tariff) from at least 3 A-Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies. Additionally, you will require Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent. Other essential skills include a 'can do' attitude, a desire and willingness to learn, excellent organisation skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and a natural team player with the ability to work on your own initiative.
