We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Maintenance Engineer to join our team at TXM Recruit. As a key member of our rail business, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our fleet through high-quality maintenance and engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Locomotive maintenance and/or Large Diesel Engines. You will work on a varied shift pattern and be offered a competitive salary of £33,000 plus a 12.5% shift allowance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and fault-finding activities as necessary
  • Leading technical engineering issues and providing guidance to other engineers as needed
  • Working with the Business Development team to identify new business opportunities and maintain existing customer satisfaction
  • Providing written reports and information for line managers and other managers as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of locomotive maintenance and diesel engines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
