About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant Manager to join our Medical Accounts team in Ipswich or Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing accounts, and delegating tasks to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including managing client portfolios and attending meetings
  • Review and prepare accounts and tax computations for clients
  • Delegate tasks to junior staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Assist with the development of trainees, including providing training and feedback
  • Manage deadlines, budgets, and client billing
  • Report directly to partners and work closely with them to provide excellent service to clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through our extensive training program
Requirements
  • Hold the ICAEW/ACCA qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a UK practice environment preparing accounts and tax returns for unincorporated and corporate clients
  • Experience in managing and training staff
  • Previous exposure to medical sector clients is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as Sage and Xero
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
