We are seeking an experienced Radiological Consequences Manager to join our team at Rolls-Royce SMR. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing radiological consequences analysis to support the design and safety of our Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead radiological consequences analysis programmes to support design development and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with design, performance, and safety teams to understand reactor plant design and produce radiological consequences analysis.
- Develop and implement robust and validated analysis methods using industry-standard codes and methods.
- Contribute to the development of safety cases and regulatory submissions.
- Lead and manage a team of analysts to deliver radiological consequences analysis programmes.
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer/Physicist with design experience and responsibility for technically leading complex thermal hydraulic analysis programmes.
- Experience delivering severe accident consequence analysis for a nuclear site.
- Sound knowledge of nuclear reactor systems design, operations, and relevant design codes.
